Rain likely in Delhi

New Delhi, May 30 (IANS) Delhiites woke up to a sunny morning Monday after light rain in some parts of the city overnight brought the mercury down. Thundershowers are likely later in the day, the weatherman said.

Monday’s minimum temperature was 26.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below average for the season.

“It would be clear skies in the morning, but likely to turn cloudy by the evening. There is possibility of some thundery development or light showers in some parts of the city,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Humidity stood at 66 percent.

Sunday’s maximum temperature settled at 40.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above average.
