Rain in parts of Delhi, more on Saturday (Lead)
August 5th, 2011 - 11:37 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 5 (IANS) There was rain in some parts of Delhi, while others sweltered with the the maximum temperature two notches above average. More rain is predicted Saturday.
“The rainfall recorded was 5.2 mm in parts of the city, while skies remained cloudy,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature settled at 34.6 degrees Celsius, 2 notches above the average, while the minimum temperature was 26.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the average for the season.
Humidity stood at 91 percent.
