Rain again eludes Delhi, likely on Tuesday (Lead)
August 22nd, 2011 - 9:07 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 22 (IANS) It was a hot and muggy start of a week for Delhi residents Monday, with the temperature higher than average and the humidity also at a high level. Some rains are, however, likely Tuesday.
The maximum temperature went up two notches above average, settling at 35.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled at 27.7, also two notches above the average, said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
The humidity oscillated between 89 and 76 percent.
Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted rains on Tuesday.
“The sky will be partly cloudy, with possibility of rain and thundershowers in some parts of the city,” the official said.
