Railway police constable dies in freak accident
January 4th, 2012 - 9:32 pm ICT by IANSVashi (Navi Mumbai), Jan 4 (IANS) A railway police constable died Wednesday after he was hit on the head by a stone while standing near the door of a coach in a moving train, police said.
“Railway Police Force (RPF) constable Deepak Jadhav, 27, was going home after duty in the local train. He was hit by a stone while standing near the train door,” an official from Vashi Railway Police told IANS.
“He was immediately rushed to a hospital where he was treated for head injury. But later he had to be shifted to another hospital as he developed cardiac issues,” he added.
Jadhav died following cardiac arrest in the hospital Wednesday.
