Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) convenor Sharad Yadav: “Either the winter session should be extended or a special session should be called to discuss the Lokpal bill. The sense of house passed by parliament on Citizen’s Charter, lower bureaucracy under Lokpal and Lokayukta in the states should not be changed.”

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Arun Jaitley: “Prime minister should be brought under the Lokpal bill.”

Congress spokesperson Rashid Alvi: “Anna is insulting parliament. The Lokpal bill report has been submitted. There will be debate and decision will be taken.
