December 23rd, 2011 - 8:04 pm ICT by IANSAgra, Dec 23 (IANS) Police early Friday recovered from near Terah Mori check dam in the Fatehpur Sikri area of Agra district the body of a Public Works Department employee who had reportedly been missing since Thursday evening.
The body bore marks of strangulation and was identified as that of 60-year-old Bhikam Singh, a class-four PWD employee, who was to retire a week hence. His family members identified the body, police said.
Bhikam Singh had left home late Thursday evening on his motor cycle but did not return and his family members filed a missing complaint with police Friday morning.
Villagers saw his body lying near a green patch along the check dam and informed the police. The motor bike was lying near the body, but the money in his pocket was missing, his son Samudra Singh said.
