Punjab official held for graft
April 19th, 2011 - 4:50 pm ICT by IANSLudhiana, April 19 (IANS) Punjab’s vigilance bureau Tuesday arrested a senior civil services officer here for accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000.
Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officer A.S. Sekhon, posted as the joint municipal commissioner here, was arrested following a tip-off that he was accepting a bribe from a person for doing his work.
“We caught him red-handed and he has been arrested. Further investigations are on,” a vigilance bureau official said.
