Publishing opinion, exit polls banned before end of elections

New Delhi, Feb 17 (IANS) The Election Commission Tuesday put a blanket ban on publishing results of exit polls and opinion polls from 48 hours before voting till the end of all phases of the election.
A statement issued here by the commission said that electronic, print and any other media cannot “publish, publicise or disseminate” results of the polls till all the polling phases were complete.
