PU to let students see answer-sheets after evaluation
October 28th, 2009 - 10:55 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Chandigarh, Oct 28 (IANS) In a bid to introduce more transparency in the examination system, the Panjab University (PU) Wednesday said it will allow its students to see their answer-sheets after evaluation, a varsity official said here.
“It has been decided to maintain full transparency in the examination system. Students will be allowed to see their answer-sheets as also of other students in case they have any doubt. They just need to pay a nominal fees to avail this option,” said PU spokesperson here Wednesday.
“Besides, PU authorities have also made it mandatory for all teaching departments to maintain the online record of students’ attendance.”
These decisions were taken in a meeting of deans of faculties under the chairmanship of vice-chancellor R.C. Sobti here Wednesday.
The PU is one of the oldest universities of the country, established in 1882, and is spread over an area of 550 acres in Sectors 14 and 25.
