Property dealer looted
February 3rd, 2011 - 11:57 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Feb 3 (IANS) Motorcycle-borne robbers held up a property dealer near his home in north Delhi Thursday afternoon and snatched the Rs.8 lakh he was carrying, police said. The incident took place at around 1.45 p.m. near Sector-5 in Rohini area when Ashok Kumar, 44, was on his way home in the same area after withdrawing the money from the Punjab National Bank.
“As soon as he reached near his home, two bike-borne masked men intercepted him and robbed him of the Rs.8 lakh at knife point and fled from the spot,” said a police officer.
A case has been registered and hunt is on to nab the culprits.
“Ashok stays in sector-5 and runs a property business in the same area. He had withdrawn the money to buy some property,” added the officer.
