“We have arrested Manoj Mahato, the spokesperson of the PCAPA, today (Friday) from Lalgarh area. He was accused in an abduction case lodged with the Lalgarh police station,” said Superintendent of Police Praveen Tripathi.
“Mahato was accused of abducting a local Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader recently and a non-bailable arrest warrant was pending against him,” Tripathi told IANS over phone.
In September 2010, Manoj Mahato was arrested for his alleged involvement in several cases including sedition, murder and looting government property. He was released a few days before the state assembly elections held in April-May this year.
