Private bus kills student in Noida
November 19th, 2009 - 8:56 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Noida, Nov 19 (IANS) A 15-year-old Class IX student was killed instantly when a speeding private bus crushed him in Noida Thursday morning, police said.
The boy’s father, who was taking him to the school, was also critically injured in the accident in Sector 34.
According to Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Tripathi, Amit Kumar Mishra died when the bus knocked down the scooter driven by his father, Bhuvneshwar Mishra, from behind.
The father suffered multiple fractures and was in a hospital in critical condition with a serious head injury.
A mob stoned the bus and tried to burn it down. The bus driver fled the spot.
