Prison van attacked in Haryana, three dead
March 10th, 2012 - 7:18 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, March 10 (IANS) A police vehicle carrying prisoners was attacked by unidentified assailants in Haryana’s Jhajjar district Saturday, leaving three prisoners dead and two policemen injured, police here said.
The attack on the police vehicle took place near Duleena village in Jhajjar district, over 350 km from here.
Police said the prisoners, who had been brought from Rohtak to Gurgaon, were being taken back when the attack took place.
The attackers fired at the police personnel accompanying the prisoners. Police returned the fire.
