Prince Charles to attend Commonwealth Games in Delhi
April 1st, 2010 - 6:46 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 1 (IANS) Prince Charles of Britain will attend the opening ceremony of the 2010 Commonwealth Games that are scheduled to take place Oct 3-14 in Delhi.
He will be representing Queen Elizabeth II at the Games.
An official statement of the British high commission Thursday said: “We are delighted to announce that His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales will represent Her Majesty the Queen at the opening of the Delhi Commonwealth Games in October.”
The Queen had attended the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia.
