Prathiban scalps seven; easy win for Tamil Nadu
October 24th, 2011 - 7:03 pm ICT by IANSChennai, Oct 24 (IANS) Debutant off-spinner A.C. Prathiban took seven for 33 as Tamil Nadu beat Jharkhand by 156 runs in the Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy under-22 tournament, here Monday.
After Tamil Nadu declared their second innings at the overnight 212 for eight, Jharkhand batsmen, barring Anirban Chatterjee (51) failed to negotiate Prathiban’s spin and were all out for 167.
Prathiban thus came away with a match haul of 11 for 57 as Tamil Nadu face Punjab at Patiala and Jharkhand meet Rajasthan at Jaipur in the next round of matches beginning October 29.
