Pragya Thakur alleges Sonia, Digvijay, Pawar behind Malegaon blasts

Bhopal, April 26 (IANS) Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, facing trial in the 2006 Malegaon blast and 2007 Sunil Joshi murder, Monday refuted her involvement and alleged that Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Congress leader Digvijay Singh, union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and slain anti-terrorist squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare were the main conspirators in both cases.
Pragya was brought to Indore from Mumbai and was admitted to MY Hospital for a medical check-up. She was taken to Dewas Monday in connection with the 2007 Sunil Joshi murder case. After the hearing held in an ambulance, the judge sent Pragya to the Indore hospital and ordered that she be sent back to Mumbai after a health check-up.
The Malegoan blast took place in 2006 while Sunil Joshi, a pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and an accused in the Samjhauta Express train blast case, was shot dead in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh in December 2007.
“I have no hand either in the Malegaon blast nor the Sunil Joshi murder. It is Sonia Gandhi, Digvijay Singh, Sharad Pawar and Hemant Karkare who conspired it. There should be 120 B (conspiratory) act against them and they sent behind bars,” she said.
Asked why she has been accused in the Sunil Joshi murder, Pragya while leaving for Mumbai replied: “Digvijay Singh is the main accused in the Sunil Joshi murder.”
She also said that the Bharatiya Janata Party ruled-Madhya Pradesh is “inefficient”, “that is why instead of catching the real culprits they are framing sadhus and sants (holy people)”. She added, “I am a true patriotic person.”
The sadhvi even demanded that Digvijay Singh and Sharad Pawar should be probed in the two cases.
Earlier, on Monday evening a team of doctors from Delhi along with MY Hospital doctors did a medical check-up of Pragya Thakur and declared her fit to fly to Mumbai. But she refused to move Monday night and instead went back Tuesday morning.
Madhya Pradesh Congress spokesperson K.K. Mishra, reacting to Pragya Thakur’s allegations, told IANS, “It is like Mumbai terror strike accused Kasab claiming that Manmohan Singh is the conspirator of the Mumbai strike.”
“It is also a much thought statement as she has charged the Madhya Pradesh government too, which has been saving her so far,” added Mishra.
