Power company employee electrocuted
January 21st, 2011 - 2:05 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 21 (IANS) A daily wager working for a power distribution company was electrocuted in west Delhi when he was repairing a fault on transmission lines Thursday, police said. Suresh, 43, who worked for power discom BSES, was working at Hastsal Road in Vidya Vihar when he touched the live high tension wire.
“There was no current in the line as supply was disconnected. He was on the electric pole and suddenly power began flowing and he was electrocuted. He was sent to Mata Chanan Devi Hospital where doctors declared him dead,” said the officer.
A case has been registered and police is investigating the matter.
