Police vehicle attacked in Pakistan
December 17th, 2011 - 11:55 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Dec 17 (IANS) At least four policemen were injured Saturday when their vehicle was attacked by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region near the border with Afghanistan, a media report said.
The incident took place in Mardan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Xinhua reported citing Urdu TV channel Dunya.
The report said the police vehicle was on routine patrol duty in Bakhtali road of the city when it was ambushed by the gunmen.
Meanwhile, in another incident that took place Saturday, three security personnel were reportedly killed in a landmine blast in Katasarai area of Kurram Agency, one of the tribal areas along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
