Police trainers get human rights lessons
June 16th, 2011 - 12:06 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 15 (IANS) A three-day training in human rights for the trainers of the police personnel was launched here Wednesday by the National Human Rights Commission with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
The aim of the programme is to prepare a group of master trainers in all states who would be able to facilitate and moderate the basic online training programme for police personnel.
The programme was attended by 22 senior level police officers from states, including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Arunachal Pradesh.
