Police solve Rs.1 crore Greater Noida robbery
August 11th, 2009 - 12:13 am ICT by IANSGreater Noida, Aug 10 (IANS) The Greater Noida police Monday claimed to have solved a Rs.1 crore robbery with the arrest of five people, officials said.
The police arrested the five men - Dharmendra, Ashu, Gyanveer, Dinesh and Sanjeev - from the Dankore area in Greater Noida Monday.
“We have recovered Rs.11 lakh from them and a pistol. This was part of the amount they robbed from a farmer in Dankore,” Superintendent of Police (Greater Noida) Surendra Verma said.
“Five other members of the gang are still at large,” Verma said.
On July 29, farmer Chatar Singh was robbed of Rs.1 crore in Dankore area of Greater Noida when he was on his way to execute a sale deed of a property.
