Police officer commits suicide in Delhi
January 6th, 2011 - 1:24 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 6 (IANS) A sub inspector of Delhi Police Thursday shot himself with his service revolver at Vijay Chowk, in front of Rashtrapati Bhavan in the heart of the national capital, police said. Ajit, a sub inspector in Delhi Police’s security unit, Thursday shot himself with his service revolver at Vijay Chowk at 7.30 a.m.
Police officials told IANS that he was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he died.
“No suicide note has been found from the body, we are still trying to establish the reason of suicide,” an official said.
