Police chase train to reunite mother, kid
March 7th, 2011 - 4:17 pm ICT by IANSLondon, March 7 (IANS) A police car in Germany raced with an anxious teenage mother to catch up with an express train after it pulled away with her toddler inside.
Nineteen-year-old Ulrike Kracht was folding up daughter Marie’s pushchair on the platform when the doors closed with the two-year-old screaming “Mama!”
According to The Sun, the frantic mum urged station staff to call ahead to stop the express train. But she was told: “We can’t - it must run on schedule.”
German Police pursued the train with lights flashing and siren wailing for an hour until it stopped at Neuruppin town, where mother and daughter were reunited.
