November 2nd, 2009 - 2:30 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, Nov 2 (IANS) Police Monday began probing into the deaths of three workers at a mega construction site on the outskirts of Chhattisgarh capital Raipur.
Three men, in their early 20s, were killed Sunday at Rakhi village when they fell from a crane in which they had been lifted 60 metres for some construction work.
The accident site is some 20 km from Raipur and comes under an under-development Naya Raipur area that will be the new capital of Chhattisgarh.
“The three workers were killed while they were engaged in construction work of a government secretariat building. Initially it looks like a case of neglecting safety measures,” a police officer said.
