Poisonous gas kills four of a family

four members of a family in this Haryana town Friday evening, police said Friday.
The victims were identified as Bhupinder Singh, 32, his wife Urmila, 28, their son
Sonu, 10, and a relative.
“Sonu had dropped some cash in the well. He went down, using the stairs, to search for his money. After he did not come out for long, his cousin also went down. Urmila and Bhupinder also went looking. All four were found unconscious by a passer-by,” said a police official.
The bodies were taken to a hospital here and doctors said the death was due to inhaling of poisonous gas.
“We have called in experts to find out whether there is any leak of poisonous gas from the well,” the official added.
