PM visits Ansari, greets him on Eid

New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday visited Vice President Hamid Ansari and greeted him on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, an official said here.
“Prime minister visited the vice president. The prime minister wished him and stayed for some time,” an official told IANS.
Manmohan Singh drove down to Ansari’s official residence at 6 Maulana Azad Road at 12:30 p.m.
A host of cabinet ministers and other leaders, including Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, were among those who met Ansari to greet him on the occasion, the official added.
Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramazan, is being celebrated throughout the country with Muslims offering prayers.
