PM greets nation on Mahavir Jayanti

New Delhi, April 15 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Friday greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti to be celebrated Saturday.
In a message, the prime minister said that the teachings of Lord Mahavira inspire us to lead a simple life of compassion and selflessness.
“May this festival strengthen in one and all the commitment to truth, non-violence, and harmony,” said the prime minister, who left China Friday for Kazakhstan in the last leg of his two-nation tour.
