PM attends pre-Christmas function

New Delhi, Dec 7 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Tuesday night attended a function organised by parliamentarians to celebrate the Christmas season.
“The PM was glad to attend the function to mark the Christmas season,” an official in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) told IANS.
Former Union minister Dhanuskodi Athithan, chairman of the committee to host parliamentarians’ Christmas celebrations, said the function was aimed to spread the message of “peace and goodwill” of Christmas.
Several union ministers, leaders of various parties, religious and social figures attended the function, Athithan said.
