Pleasant Saturday for Delhi
May 21st, 2011 - 12:27 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 21 (IANS) In a welcome relief from the sweltering heat of the past days, Delhiites woke up to a cloudy sky and light rain Saturday morning. The weather office said showers were likely to continue throughout the day.
Saturday’s minimum temperature was recorded at 26.1 degree Celsius, average for this time of the season.
The maximum temperature, which has been above 40 degrees during the week, is expected to be around 37 degrees.
“The sky will remain cloudy and rain and storms are expected through the day,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
According to the IMD, the storm and cloudy conditions are due to upper air circulations that developed over Punjab and Haryana over the last few days.
