Pleasant day in Delhi, rains likely Sunday

New Delhi, Sep 17 (IANS) It was a pleasant sunny day in the capital Saturday which began with cool breeze. The weather office forecast partly cloudy skies and rains Sunday.

“The maximum temperature recorded Saturday was 33.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below average, and the minimum temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Humidity wavered between a high of 91 and low of 61 percent.

Delhiites can Sunday expect partly cloudy skies and a few spells of rain and thunderstorm in parts of the city, the official said.

“The maximum and minimum temperatures Sunday will hover around 34 and 26 degrees Celsius,” the IMD official added.

Delhi has received 618.5 mm of rainfall so far, which is normal for the year.
