Pizza Hut delivery boy killed in accident
November 18th, 2011 - 5:32 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 18 (IANS) A 25-year-old Pizza Hut employee was killed after he was hit by a speeding car driven by a Delhi University student, police said Friday.
Sukhwinder, a delivery boy at a Pizza Hut outlet in south Delhi’s Greater Kailash, was on his way back to the restaurant when the speeding car hit his bike around 10 p.m. Thursday.
Sukhwinder, a resident of Badarpur in south Delhi, fell on the ground and began bleeding profusely.
“We received a call at around 10.12 p.m. and rushed him to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences trauma centre where he died during treatment,” said a police officer.
The driver, Prateek Tekriwal, a second year commerce under-graduate student at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, was arrested from the spot and the car impounded.
Tekriwal, 21, is a resident of Greater Kailash.
