Pirated CDs seized in Patna
June 23rd, 2010 - 3:28 pm ICT by IANSPatna, June 23 (IANS) Police Wednesday seized pirated CDs of Bollywood films worth Rs.5 million during raids at an electronics market in the Bihar capital.
A police team raided storehouses in the Bakarganj electronics market and seized pirated CDs of latest Bollywood films, including ‘Raavan’, besides two computers and CD writers.
“We have arrested four people in this connection. It was a large scale racket in pirated CDs,” Patna senior superintendent of police Amit Kumar Jain said.
The gang was supplying pirated CDs to neighbouring Nepal and states like Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh, besides Bihar, Jain said.
