November 20th, 2011 - 4:40 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Nov 20 (IANS) The sixth Pinjore Heritage Festival will be organised Dec 2-4 at Yadvindra Gardens in Pinjore town of Haryana, an official announced here Sunday.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ram Kishan Fauji said that the festival, organised by the Haryana Tourism, was aimed at enhancing awareness about Pinjore’s centuries-old heritage.
The festival would be inaugurated by Union Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay.
Fauji said that a Crafts Bazaar, reminiscent of Mughal times, is being set-up with shops and clusters of stalls, tented pavilion, food plaza, performance stage and other attractions.
“A variety of cuisine would be the hallmark of the Food Bazaar being setup, which would contain a wide-range of vegetarian and delectable dishes,” Fauji said.
The Yadvindra Gardens was built in 17th century by emperor Aurangzeb’s architect and foster brother Fidai Khan, who was the governor of Punjab.
