Petty criminal shot dead in Mumbai

Mumbai, March 17 (IANS) A small-time Mumbai criminal, Sabraj Goswami, was shot dead by two unidentified men here Monday evening, said the police. Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) R.N. Tadvi told IANS: “Goswami, who worked in a construction company as a repairer, was shot dead by unidentified men at Nirmal Nagar, western suburb of Mumbai.”

Tadvi added that preliminary investigations indicated that personal rivalry was the reason for the shooting.

Goswami was involved in criminal activities and was arrested five years back, Tadvi said. Further investigations were on, he added.
