Petrol pump employees robbed of Rs.850,000 in Ghaziabad

- Ghaziabad, Nov 17 (IANS) In a daring daylight robbery here Monday, four armed men robbed employees of a petrol pump of Rs.850,000 when they were on their way to deposit the money in the bank, the police said. The robbers also shot an employee who resisted their attempt. “The incident occurred at Shalimar Extension in Ghaziabad at 9.30 a.m., when three employees of Mohan Shiva Service Centre, a dealer for Bharat Petroleum at Hindon Air Force Station road were taking the money in a car to be deposited in the bank,” Circle Officer (Border) S.P. Singh told IANS.
“Four men on motorcycles intercepted the car and snatched the bag containing the money. When one of the employees, Vinod resisted their attempt, they shot him,” Singh said.
