Pawar attacker in police lock-up
November 24th, 2011 - 9:27 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 24 (IANS) Harvinder Singh, who slapped Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, was sent to police lock-up Thursday and will be produced before a magistrate Friday, police said.
Harvinder Singh has been booked for assaulting a public servant, criminal intimidation and attempting to commit suicide, Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said.
Havinder Singh attacked Pawar at the NDMC centre here.
A resident of Rohini in north Delhi, he had Nov 19 attacked former telecom minister Sukh Ram outside a court here after the latter’s sentencing in a corruption case.
