Patient jumps to death from hospital’s fifth floor
October 10th, 2011 - 12:47 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 9 (IANS) A 60-year-old man undergoing treatment for a back ailment Sunday committed suicide by jumping off the fifth floor of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in west Delhi, police said.
“Jogender Poddar was suffering from multiple disease hypertension, blood sugar and asthma. He was admitted to hospital Oct 1,” said a police official.
“The incident was reported around 7 p.m.,” he said.
Poddar was suffering from severe pain in his back for the past few days. He is survived by his wife and three sons, police said.
