The Michael Jackson Memorial, was a fitting tribute to the late pop sensation, Michael Jackson. MJ, whose career had been lately ravaged by controversies and allegations regarding various issues, was paid homage by various celebrities and friends hailing from the film and mostly, from the music industry.

The saddest part of the grand event was when the 11 year old daughter of Michael Jackson, Paris Katherine Jackson, was given the microphone in order to say a few words about his father. The 11 year old, Paris, stepped out from the shadows as she said, “Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine.” Paris, who battled hard to control her tears said, “Ever since i was born, Daddy has been the best father I could have ever imagined. And I just want to say that I love him so much.” As she ended her speech, tears rolled down from the eyes of a highly emotional, Paris.

Paris Katherine along with her brothers Prince Michael and Prince Michael II, joined a host of stars as they sang a long tribute song, “We Are The World.”

At times Paris broke down in tears, while his youngest brother, Michael played with a Michael Jackson doll on his lap. Paris was also seen to applaud Civil Rights leader, Al Sharpton’s speech on his father, as the former addressed the speech to Jackson’s kids.
