Parents to protest arbitrary fee hike in private schools
April 22nd, 2011 - 2:21 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 22 (IANS) Parents across the country will participate in a national protest against arbitrary fee hike in private schools April 30.
Organised under the banner of All India Parents Association (AIPA), parents in many states and districts will stage coordinated protests against exploitation by private schools and apathy of governments towards state-run schools.
In Delhi, the protest will be held at Jantar Mantar between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
“We want enactment of a central law to regulate fees in unaided private schools. We will hold a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar to keep our demands,” said AIPA president Ashok Agarwal.
