Parekh elected apex court bar association chief

Parekh was Thursday elected president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), defeating another senior counsel Adish C. Aggarwala by just two votes, association officials said. Outgoing president Ram Jethmalani came third in the race.
While Parekh polled 757 votes, Aggarwala got 755 votes in the election held Wednesday. Jethmalani garnered 735 votes.
Other elected office bearers are Rakesh Kumar Khanna (vice-president), K.C. Kaushik (secretary), Gaurav Bhatia (assistant secretary), Vibhu Shanker Mishra (treasurer) and Neeraj Kumar Sharma (assistant treasurer).
