Panchkula (Haryana), Dec 11 (IANS) To check growing incidents of bank robberies in this Haryana district, police have directed all the banks here to install CCTV cameras in their premises, an official said Friday.
“We met senior officials of all leading banks of Panchkula district (Thursday) to discuss various measures to effectively stop bank robberies. It was decided that all banks will install CCTV cameras by Jan 10,” district police chief Maneesh Chaudhary said.
“The banks also have to maintain the proper records of camera recordings. If any bank is found without CCTV camera after this deadline, then strict action will be taken against them.”
