Pakistani minister escapes bomb attack
October 15th, 2011 - 6:28 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Oct 15 (IANS) A minister of Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province escaped a bomb attack on his life, a media report said Saturday.
Sardar Sanaullah Zehri, the provincial convener of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party, was going to Anjira after addressing public meetings in Surab and Gidar areas Friday when the explosion took place, Dawn reported. Zehri is the minister for services and general administration department.
“Sardar Zehri is safe and his vehicle was not damaged,” a party spokesman said.
The banned Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani has condemned the blast and said the government would not bow before terrorists.
