`Pakistan ready to communicate with coalition forces’
December 14th, 2011 - 2:51 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Dec 14 (IANS) International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) commander General John Allen said Pakistan has showed signs of resuming communication exchange that was stopped after a NATO airstrike that killed 24 soldiers, it was reported here.
General Allen said in Kabul that he had spoken to Pakistan Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, reported Geo News.
The top army officials have resolved to know the facts of the Mohmand Agency attack.
The NATO airstrikes had left two dozen soldiers dead, prompting an angry Pakistan to cut off NATO supply, boycott an international conference on Afghanistan’s future and ordering the US to vacate the Shamsi airbase that was used to launch drone attacks.
Pakistan has been upset with the US ever since the May 2 raid to kill Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad town, close to Islamabad. American commandos had carried out the daring operation without informing Islamabad.
