On board Air India One, May 28 (IANS) In the wake of disclosures by Pakistani-American David Coleman Headley about ISI’s role in the 26/11 attack, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Saturday asked Pakistan to effectively curb the jihadi outfits and underlined it is in Islamabad’s interest to control the monster of terror it has created.
“We must convince Pakistan that it is in their own interest that they must help us in tackling the problem of terror in our region. Those jihadi outfits who target India as a destination for their terror, must be effectively curbed and dealt with,” Manmohan Singh told reporters on board a special aircraft on his way back from a six-day visit to Ethiopia and Tanzania.
“The more I see what is happening in Pakistan, the more I am convinced that the Pakistan’s leadership must now wake up and recognise that the terror machine is not working to anybody’s advantage,” the prime minister said.
