O’Sullivan beats Carter to win fourth world snooker crown
May 8th, 2012 - 3:10 pm ICT by IANSSheffield (England), May 8 (IANS) Ronnie O’Sullivan defeated Ali Carter 18-11 to win the World Snooker Championship here.
O’Sullivan, who has slipped to 13th in the world rankings, led the first day’s competition 10-7 and gave little chance to 18th-ranked Carter Monday, winning his fourth world title at the Crucible Theatre.
It was almost a rematch of the 2008 Championship final, when O’Sullivan beat Carter 11-8.
