One tonne narcotics seized, 47 held in Iran
December 27th, 2011 - 11:11 pm ICT by IANSTehran, Dec 27 (IANS) Iranian police have arrested 47 people after seizing over one tonne narcotics being carried in two cargos in south Khorasan province, the Fars news agency reported Tuesday.
The police force seized a total volume of 1,168 kg of different types of narcotics and arrested 47 people in relation to the illicit drugs, Xinhua quoted the province’s police chief as saying in the media report.
In the last nine months, over 24 tonnes of narcotics were seized, he said.
