One Maoist killed, two held in Jharkhand
November 23rd, 2010 - 6:24 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Nov 23 (IANS) One Maoist was killed and two were arrested in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district Tuesday, police said.
According to the police, a gun battle between Maoists and security forces comprising state police and para-military troopers took place at Buaddudih village in East Singhbhum, some 170 km from here.
Maoist leader Arup Mochi was killed while Manoj and Khagen were arrested. Two rifles, one pistol, live cartridges and other incriminating material were seized from them.
In another incident, police seized five landmines from Ramgarh district Tuesday.
