One Maoist held in Orissa
February 17th, 2010 - 5:06 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Feb 17 (IANS) One Maoist rebel was arrested in Orissa’s Gajapati district Wednesday, police said.
Babula Beher Dalai alias Pradip was arrested during a combing operation by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operations Group, Superintendent of Police Sanjay Arora told reporters.
Police were on the lookout for Dalai who was involved in several cases including the burning of four government buses at Raipanka in December last year.
Police said he had joined the Maoist outfit two years ago and was an active member of the Bansadhara division.
Gajapati is some 350 km from Bhubaneswar.
