One killed in sticky bomb attack in Iraq
November 21st, 2011 - 9:29 am ICT by IANSBaghdad, Nov 21 (IANS) A civilian was killed when a sticky bomb attached to his car blew up in eastern Iraq, officials said.
The incident took place in Diyala province’s Himreen, 110 km from the capital Baghdad, a source from the provincial operations command told Xinhua.
In another incident, three civilians were wounded when a roadside bomb went off outside a house in Abbarah near Diyala capital Baquba, 65 km from Baghdad, the source said.
Diyala, which stretches from the eastern edges of Baghdad to the Iranian border, has long been a stronghold for Al Qaeda militants and other groups.
