One killed, five injured in Delhi car accident

New Delhi, Nov 13 (IANS) One person died and five call centre employees were injured in an accident here Thursday when a speeding vehicle collided with the cab they were travelling in, the police said. According to a police official, “the accident took place at around 4 a.m. near Sector-11 Dwarka. Seven people were travelling in Tavera cab, which is of a call centre. They were coming from Gurgaon and were going towards Janakpuri area from Dwarka.”

“The cab had gone only few hundred metres after dropping two persons at Sector-11 when a speeding vehicle rammed into it. The impact was so severe that the cab turned turtle,” the police officer said.

The cab driver Ravinder Kumar Sharma (28) died at the spot. Five others suffered minor injuries. The other driver fled from the spot with his vehicle.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital from where they were discharged after treatment, the police said.
