One killed, another injured in east Delhi accident
March 12th, 2012 - 8:38 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 12 (IANS) A 38-year-old Delhi businessman was killed while his brother-in-law was injured after the motorcyle on which they were travelling was hit from behind by a peeding truck, police said Monday.
Vinod Gupta, resident of east Delhi’s Mandawali, was on way to attend a marriage ceremony with his brother-in-law when their motorcycle was hit by the truck around 9.20 p.m. Sunday in north Delhi’s Shastri Nagar.
Both were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Gupta was declared brought dead while his brother-in-law was discharged after treatment.
The truck driver, identified as Santosh, has been arrested and the truck impounded.
